Stainless Steel 317 Flanges are corrosion-resistant piping components designed for use in aggressive chemical and chloride-containing environments. Manufactured to ASTM A182 and ASME SA182, grade 317 contains 3-4% molybdenum, offering improved resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion compared to 316, making it suitable for sulphuric acid, chloride-bearing fluids, and oxidising process streams.

Sizes range from ½" to 48" NB across pressure classes from 150# to 2500#, available in weld neck, slip-on, blind, socket weld, lap joint, orifice, and ring type joint configurations. AB Steel manufactures and supplies these flanges in compliance with ANSI B16.5, DIN, BS, and NACE MR0175/ISO 15156.

Applications of SS 317 Flanges

SS 317 flanges are used in applications where the process conditions are beyond the standard 304 or 316 grade limits, such as corrosive, high-temperature or chemically aggressive piping systems.
