SS 403 CB is a stabilized martensitic stainless steel known for its strength, hardness, and durability. This grade is modified with columbium (Niobium), which stabilizes carbides, improves weldability, and corrosion resistance. SS 403 CB Grade contains around 12% chromium with carbon, manganese, silicon, phosphorus, sulfur, and columbium. The presence of niobium reduces carbide precipitation, especially after welding which help to maintain corrosion resistance. The material delivers tensile strength between 485–655 MPa and yield strength around 275 MPa or more. In its annealed condition, the hardness reaches up to 183 HB. It has a density of about 7.8 g/cm³ and a melting point near 1450°C. These round bars perform well under stress and heat, offering great machinability and wear resistance.
